Laptii O. Dipylidiosis in dogs and cats ( pathogenesis ,diagnosis, treatment)

The prevalence of Dipylidiosis in dogs from the Kharkiv region was evaluated, the seasonal dynamics of helminthosis was established. The features of clinical signs and changes in the blood morphology and blood chemistry value, as well as the pathoanatomical and histomorphological changes in dogsand cats with acute spontaneous Dipylidiosiswere established. The modern method of life-long diagnosis of Dipylidiosis in dogs and cats before the sexual maturity of a tapeworm using the PCR was introduced. The response of certain therapeutic sequences of Dipylidiosis in dogs and cats, as well as the effectiveness of preventive measures was established. In treating the animals spontaneously infested by dipylidia, the use of specific drugs was proposed. The studyhas shown that the new combined medicinal product Elite zoo developed by «Product»LLC, Kharkiv, Ukraine, showeda pronounced insecticidal responseagainst Ctenocephalides canisand may be recommended for the protection of muscular tissues in order to prevent syncope diseases.
