Melnyk V. Law regulation of depository and clearing activities in Ukraine.

The thesis is an independent completed academic work, dedicated to complex research of the economic law aspects of fulfilment depository and clearing activities. In this work the essence and characteristics of depository and clearing activities, as types of economic activity are investigated: sphere of realization; the content of depository and clearing activities; special composition of subjects; implementation on professional basis; the exclusive nature of the activities; the results of the activity are of definable value and price; combination of property and organizational elements; a combination of private interests of participants in depository and clearing activities and public interests; a significant level of state regulation. The history of the emergence and establishment of depository and clearing systems of individual countries of the world and Ukraine is disclosed, the main models of depository and clearing systems of the world are described: American, German, British and model of integrated post-trading services. The main principles and characteristics of legal forms and means of state regulation and self-regulation of depository and clearing activity in Ukraine are described.
