Essay

A comprehensive political study of US foreign policy during the period of George W. Bush's and B. Obama presidency was made and obtained results that have a scientific novelty. For the first time, there was created an author's version of the evolution of US foreign policy in terms of the relevance of the various administrations to the realistic (school of political realism) or liberal (the theory of liberal internationalism) principles. The conceptual foundations of George W. Bush's and Barack Obama's policies in terms of their relevance to traditional US strategies - unilateralism and multi-territoriality are analyzed. The analysis of the priorities of US foreign policy at the present stage (until 2017) has been analyzed and their evolution in the work of the republican and democratic administrations has been identified. The influence of the subjective factor on US foreign policy through the figures of President George W. Bush and B. Obama were analyzed.
