The thesis deals with the problem of formation of mathematical competencies in bachelors majoring in economics while teaching them higher mathematics. In the paper both by way of generalizing of the analyzed scientific-pedagogical investigations and practical experience of teaching higher mathematics to future bachelors of economics the content of the concept "mathematical competencies of the bachelors majoring in economical specialities" has been specified. The structure of mathematical competencies has been defined. The mathematical competencies of a future bachelor of economics have been singled out. The methodological approaches and principles for attaining the purpose of teaching higher mathematics have been described in detail. The indicators for determining the level of formation of mathematical competencies in bachelors of economics have been found out. The psychological aspects and pedagogical conditions satisfying the effectiveness of formation of mathematical competencies in students have been analyzed. The model of forming mathematical competencies in future specialists in the field of economics has been elaborated. The model has been taken as a basis for developing the methodology of formation of mathematical competencies in bachelors of economics while teaching them higher mathematics. Both the methodology and the model of forming mathematical competencies in bachelors of economics have been experimentally checked. The results of the investigation can be put into practice by higher educational institutions for increasing the level of mathematical competencies in future economists while teaching them higher mathematics.
