Essay

The given thesis proposes a methodology of teaching upcoming IT teachers knowledge-based information systems. According to this methodology it is proposed to teach basing on the student's normative model discovered in the current research. The normative model of a student is considered as a set of such models like: thematic, semantic, procedural, operational and functional. The research specifies the essence of the definition "knowledge", which is proposed to define as metadata, being obtained by analyzing data, previous experience or studying a given subject area in accordance with the problem of a task need to be solved. The definition "The cognitive component of the ICT competence" is defined as the ability to receive and produce knowledge and operate them according to own professional and applied needs in a modern information society. The influence of the proposed methodology of teaching upcoming IT teachers knowledge-based information systems on the formation and development of the cognitive component of the ICT competence was proved.
