Gurzhenko A. Rationale for choosing the method of lithotripsy in patients with ureterolithiasis with concomitant diabetes mellitus

The dissertation is devoted to the improvement of the treatment of patients with ureterolithiasis burdened with diabetes mellitus by studying the general homeostasis and functional capacity of the kidneys with the definition of the factors of the risk of complications after the minimally invasive methods of ureterolithotripsy with prediction of the choice of the optimal one.The work was performed on the basis of the Institute of Urology of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine .The dissertation presents a theoretical generalization and a new solution of the actual scientific problem of improving the treatment efficiency in patients with ureterolithiasis of the background of diabetes by introducing an algorithm for determining the functional restoration status of the kidney, studying the state of oxidative stress, preventing the destruction of renal tissue, and thus ensuring a decrease in the level of postoperative complications in execution minimally invasive methods of lithotripsy, which has an important scientific, medical and social value for the health of these patients.
