Essay

The dissertation examines the conservative tradition of the Ukrainian state, its evolution, its continuity and its relationship with the present-day social and political realities in Ukraine, as well as with the international Western-European tendencies of state-building. It also analyses the process of developing and establishing such historical and political forms of Western conservatism as traditionalism, libertarianism, and neoconservatism with regard to their theoretical and doctrinal underpinnings. The study looks at the ideological and conceptual political genealogy of Ukrainian conservatism of the late 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century
