Essay

Aim: establishment of additional cytogenetic criteria for predicting the course of B cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia and multiple myelomabased on the evaluation of cytogenetic and molecular cytogenetic characteristics of chemotherapy-resistant anomalous clones. Object: bone marrow and peripheral blood cells at the time of diagnosis and in the relapse/refractory of B cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia and multiple myeloma. Оn the basis of performed cytogenetic and molecular cytogenetic studies the frequency and spectrum of quantitative and structural aberrations of chromosomes of bone marrow and peripheral blood cells in patients at the time of diagnosis and in the relapse/refractory of B cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia and multiple myeloma have been investigated. The role of chromosomal aberrations and their combinations in the development of chemotherapy-resistant anomalous clones has been evaluated. According to the results of the work, it was determined that aberrations of chromosomes 7 and 19, chromosomal derivatives and hypodiploidy in multiple myeloma and independent clones and derivatives of chromosomes in B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia, can be considered as cytogenetic.
