The dissertation is a complex scientific research of problems of legal regulation of relations under a contract of contract for the geological study of subsoil under public order. The doctrinal approaches to the definition of the concept and characteristic features of the contract for geological study of subsoil under the state order have been clarified and the author's definition of this contract is proposed on this basis. The general characteristic of the legislation regulating relations arising from the contractual obligations of subcontracting works for the geological study of mineral resources by state order is provided. Theoretical propositions and practical recommendations for improvement of the existing legislation and judicial practice in the field of subordinate legal relations on geological study of subsoil under the state order are developed.
