Essay

The thesis is the first comprehensive and interdisciplinary scientific research focused on the monuments of cultural heritage of Poland in the context of dynastic interactions of Kyivan Rus and Poland in 11th –12th centuries. The analysis of Polish cultural heritage of the 11th –12th centuries empowered to identify 77 objects which were founded, restored or functioning relatively to the activities of Ruthenian-Polish dynastic couples. 44 objects are listed in the Register of Immovable Monuments of Poland. 33 new objects were found, their historical and scientific value as cultural monuments was substantiated. An authorial typological classification of these objects by dynastic pairs is developed, which gives grounds to assert that not the one, but several dynastic couples are involved in the foundation, restoration and functioning of many objects of the studied period.
