Essay

The thesis is devoted to the decision of the problem of future border guard officers training within the fundamentals of units’ operative and service operations combat support, taking into account the current military and political situation on the state border of Ukraine, which is left out of the attention of scientists now. This is evidenced by the results of the analysis of scientific and pedagogical sources on the research problem. The peculiarities of the training of future border guard officers training in terms of the fundamentals of units’ operative and service operations combat support are determined by the main functions of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, among which the main ones are: participation in measures aimed at combating terrorism, the cessation of illegal armed formations, organized groups and criminal organizations that violated the crossing order of the state border of Ukraine; coordination of activity of military formations and corresponding law-enforcement bodies connected with protection of the state border of Ukraine. The fulfilment of these functions involves the formation of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine officers common military competencies, which is understood as the totality of the results of the future border guard officers training within the common military disciplines, which determine the professional qualification of the tactical level officer, including the types of combat support of operational and service actions of the units (intelligence, security, radio electronic combat, tactical masking, engineering, radiation, chemical, biological protection). In order to monitor the results of the future border guard officers training in terms of the fundamentals of units’ operative and service operations combat support it should be used motivational, cognitive and professional activity criteria. Indicators of the motivational criterion are the interest and awareness of the importance of common military disciplines, the need to analyze the achievements of military science in a definite direction, in close interaction with the scientific and pedagogical staff and experienced leaders of the border units. The cognitive criterion is characterized by indicators such as quality, depth, and sustainability of mastery of common handed competencies. Indicators of professional activity criterion are the ability to perform professionally the tasks assigned to the official purpose, take on the initiative and responsibility for the decisions made. The formation of the joint competences of the future border guard officers can be manifested at three levels: the reproductive one, partially modelling, combine modelling. In the educational process of the National Academy of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine named after Bohdan Khmelnytskyi the methods of future border guard officers training in terms of the fundamentals of units’ operative and service operations combat support training is realized – the way of the theoretical and practical activities of the future border guard officers training organizing, due to the regularities and features of the content of the discipline «Fundamentals of Combat Support». The formation of joint competences has been provided consistently in accordance with the basic periods of professional development of future border guard officers: the adaptation, the period of professional experience and the period of integration of the formed professionally important competencies and personality traits to the individual style of the work of future border guard officers. The following pedagogical conditions are important for ensuring the effective implementation of the training methods for future border guard officers: the optimal structure and content of the educational and methodological complex of joint military disciplines, taking into account the experience of border security in the Joint Forces Operation zone ensuring; the use of methods of training in accordance with the periods of professional development of the future officer in the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine named after Bohdan Khmelnytskyi; realization of methodical support of independent work of future border guard officer on the principles of an integrative approach.
