This work is aimed at reducing the frequency of menstrual function abnormalities during puberty in girls with autoimmune thyroiditis through development of a diagnostic algorithm and comprehensive prophylactic measures on the basis of studying the links between hormonal homeostasis, psychoemotional state and echographic data. The study conducted in girls with autoimmune thyroiditis investigated frequency of pubertal abnormalities, the peculiarities of the onset of menstrual function and psychoemotional state, the state of hormonal homeostasis, the link between autoimmune thyroid gland pathology and its role in forming autoimmune ovary damage, and established the echographic peculiarities of the pelvis. Via a step by step discriminant analysis seven of 31 factors in menstrual function abnormality development were identified; an algorithm for investigating and observing girls with autoimmune thyroiditis was developed. Based on the peculiarities discerned, a comprehensive course of prophylactic therapy was developed and justified to prevent development of menstrual cycle abnormalities, which includes, besides traditional vitamin therapy, a floral compound of soft dopaminergic action and a compound containing GABAergic substances and GABA cofactors.
