A thesis for the degree of a candidate of medical sciences (doctor of philosophy) in specialty 14.01.33 “Medical rehabilitation, physiotherapy and health resort”. – Odesa National Medical University, Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Odessa, 2019. The dissertation is devoted to the increase of the effectiveness of treatment of patients with EBW and obesity at the outpatient-polyclinic stage by application in the complex treatment of medical therapy, acupuncture and VVT taking into account the features of the course of the disease. It was established that the complex application of medical therapy, acupuncture and VVT in patients with EBW and obesity I, II and III significantly increases the effectiveness of treatment at the outpatient-polyclinic stage due to the normalizing effect on clinical, anthropometric, biochemical, instrumental indexes and quality of life of patients. The therapeutic effect of the complex is realized through the potentiation of the effect of drug therapy and physical factors. The achieved results are maintained for more than 6 months and are significantly higher than those obtained with the separate application of drug therapy and physical factors.
