In the dissertation the complex research on protection of intellectual property rights of co-authors of scientific works was carried out. The formation and development of legislative regulation of issues of co-authorship on the works of science in the world and in Ukraine is explored. The definitions and signs of a work of science as an object of intellectual property rights are proposed. The concept, features and types of co-authorship on the works of science are investigated. The legal status of co-authors as subjects of copyright is characterized. The legal composition of the origin of copyright for a work of science established in co-authorship is established. The ways and means of legal protection of intellectual property of co-authors of works of science are characterized. A number of changes have been proposed to improve the current legislation.
