Bobro M. Axiological and Linguocultural Parameters of the Concept LIFE as a Constituent of Ukrainian Concept Sphere

Object – the concept LIFE as a constituent of Ukrainian national Concept Sphere; aim – to determine the structure of the concept LIFE, the peculiarities of its semantics and to reveal its national-cultural significance determined by the interaction with other constituents of Ukrainian concept sphere; methods – descriptive method, method of observation, methods of conceptual, semantic and component analysis, comparative and linguocultural methods; novelty – according to the specific character of the analysed material – considerable in volume and rich in potential conclusions – and which has not as yet been diversely analysed in Ukrainian linguistics – the knowledge about the dependence of the figurative-evaluative constituent of the concept LIFE on the material and spiritual factors of social life is deepened and extended, the role of the key symbols of Ukrainian linguoculture in the concept’s structure and verbal manifestation is determined, the concept’s axiological parameters in its projection onto the basic constituents of Ukrainian conceptual worldview are established; results – the materials of the research can be used in writing generalizing works in conceptology, in teaching lexicology as well as specialty courses of linguoculturology, conceptology and in composing a dictionary of concepts; field – philology.
