Hutak A. Improvement of vortex tube utilization technology in natural gas processing

The thesis is devoted to the development of new and improvement of existing natural gas processing technologies in which vortex tube is installed.A critical analysis of the main and innovative technologies for the processing of natural gas have been conducted. The process of temperature separation of a gas flow in a vortex tube is investigated.The advanced mathematical model of the vortex tube is proposed.The conditions of occurrence of the ejection phenomenon in vortex tube are numerically investigated.The type of influence of geometric sizes of the vortex tube on its thermodynamic efficiency is established. The empirical relations, which connect geometrical and thermodynamic parameters of the vortex tube were established. A method for calculating the geometric dimensions of a vortex tube is developed to achieve the prescribed thermodynamic parameters of its operation. Technological schemes for gas processing using vortex tubes are developed.
