The thesis focuses on a theoretical and experimental research, an issue of preparation of future foreign language teachers for usage of international edition textbooks in primary school. The analysis of preparation of future foreign languages teachers demonstrates the training has been carried out by introducing psychological, pedagogical and professional disciplines into the training content. The scientific and theoretical foundations of this process are revealed. The preparation of future foreign language teachers for usage of international edition textbooks in primary school is considered as an entire pedagogical process within the framework of study which involves teacher’s successful professional interaction with primary school students by modern didactic learning methods according the individual and psychological characteristics of children in order to increase its efficiency. Thus, a foreign language textbook of international editions is defined as an informative teaching and learning complex accompanied by additional resources, tools and materials that are adapted to the needs of a teacher and a student according Common European Framework of reference for languages: learning, teaching, assessment which provides didactic and methodological support to the educational process. The functional-structural model of preparation of future foreign language teachers for usage of international edition textbooks in primary school is theoretically substantiated and experimentally verified with due regard to the identified pedagogic conditions. The model includes such blocks as a methodologically targeted block (aim, tasks, principles and approaches), a content-based block (pedagogical conditions, content, forms, methods and means), an operational block (a theoretical training stage, an activity-oriented stage, and an analytical and creative implementation stage), an evaluative block (criteria, levels, result). The criteria and their indicators are described as follows: a motivational-oriented criterion, a culture-cognitive criterion, an operational-developmental criterion, an activity and an evaluation criterion. The levels of future foreign language teachers’ readiness to use international edition textbooks in primary school are defined. The forecasting substantiation of research results implementation at the level of the higher education institutions and the national state level has been carried out.
