The dissertation is devoted to the improvement of diagnostics and prediction of the risk of development of pancreatic steatosis in children with overweight / obesity on the basis of study of clinical and laboratory, structural and functional features of the course of steatosis.In the study of 117 children aged 6 to 17 years - 67 children of the main group with pancreatic steatosis and overweight / obesity, 34 overweight and obese children without pancreatic steatosis and 16 children with normal weight, we found that there are clinical features a clinical course - left hypochondrium pain in a third of patients with steatosis, as well as dyspeptic complaints such as nausea (59,7%), that was significantly more common in the main group compared with children with normal weight (p<0,05). It has been established that the level of ultrasound attenuation coefficient (UAC) exceeding 2,16 dB/cm with a sensitivity of 90% and a specificity of 65% indicates the presence of pancreatic steatosis. On the basis of logistic regression analysis, the prioritized factors associated withpancreaticsteatosis were identified – body mass index(BMI)(OR=1,32; 95% CI 1,17-1,50; p=0,0001), waist circumference (WC) (OR=1,13; 95% CI 1,08-1,18; p=0,0001), cholesterol level (OR=2,29; 95% CI 1,32-4,00; p=0,00357), low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) (OR=3,10; 95% CI 1,55-6,23; p=0,00144), non high density lipoprotein cholesterol (nonHDL) (OR=2,92; 95% CI 1,55-5,51; p=0,00096), HOMA1-IR (OR=1,35; 95% CI 1,13-1,63; p=0,0014), controlled attenuation parameter (САР) (OR=1,03; 95% CI 1,02-1,049; p=0,0014).
