Borodenko T. Corporate investment funds: development priorities and efficiency improvements

The thesis is devoted to deepening of theoretical and methodological principles and to substantiation of practical recommendations on priority directions of development and corporate investment funds’ efficiency improvements in Ukraine. In this work the features of corporate collective investment institutions (CII) as subjects of organizational financial infrastructure are investigated, the specifics of the functioning of CII are determined, the functions of financial intermediaries and corporate investment funds (CIF) are generalized, advantages and disadvantages in comparison with mutual funds are determined. The main methodological approaches to assessing the performance of corporate CII activities are summarized. It is proved that determination of complex efficiency (cumulative effect) is advisable to evaluate CIF as joint investment subjects. The trends of the functioning of CII in Ukraine and the world are determined. The analysis of CIF activity is conducted. The main problems of the functioning of CII in the financial market are revealed. The necessity of the implementation of foreign experience in evaluating the effectiveness and regulation of corporate CII is substantiated. The directions of improvement of state regulation of activity of collective investment institutions in Ukraine are determined.
