The thesis is a comprehensive and systematic work on development of issues of the criminal liability for crimes against the public safety, the subject of which is weapon, ammunition, explosives and explosive devices (articles 262, 263, 263-1, 264 of CC). The paper analyzes the theoretical and methodological foundations of the research; historical and international experience of the criminal liability for the investigated crimes is examined. The description of objective and subjective elements of the investigated crime was performed, their aggravating and especially aggravating circumstances were singled out, and the features of punishment for crimes that are investigated were outlined. Conclusions were made and suggestions were formed to improve criminal liability for crimes investigated on normative and theoretical levels.
