Essay

Object: gifted students. Aim: to identify the main factors and risks of self-realization of gifted students in a modern Ukrainian society. Research methods: retrospective analysis, system analysis, comparative analysis, questionnaires, observation, testing, focus group interviews, correlation analysis. Theoretical and practical results: author's typology of the risks of self-realization of gifted students has been developed, author`s classification of key problem areas that arise at the self-realization of gifted students is proposed, on the basis of the analysis of existing models of giftedness its structural components, which influence the self-realization of the personality, have been determined, the possibilities of using a factor approach for studying the process of self-realization of gifted students have been improved, the model of support of gifted students, supplemented by the elements of stakeholder management and dynamic approach, have been improved, a sociological interpretation of the characteristics of gifted students in Ukraine, an integrative approach to support of gifted and talented students got a further development. Novelty: Identification of the main factors and risks of self-realization of gifted students in the modern Ukrainian society. The degree of implementation: the results of the research were tested and implemented in the practice of Kharkiv Physics and Mathematics Lyceum №27, Specialized Economics and Law School of KhGU "NUA", public institution "Kharkiv University Lyceum of Kharkiv City Council of Kharkiv Region" and Kharkiv Lyceum №161 "Impulse" of Kharkiv City Council of Kharkiv region.
