Essay

The work is devoted to the development of the system of radio-ecological monitoring of mountainous regions of Transcarpathia, scientific methods of research and integrated assessment of remote effects of nuclear and technogenic accidents, the state of the environment under the influence of spatial and seasonal factors on the spread, accumulation and migration of radionuclides of man-made and natural origin. The issues of organizing the sampling system for rocky mountain primaries and soils of protected areas, low-tech gamma spectrometric studies, as well as the use of cluster and factor analysis methods to systematize research results are considered. Radiation studies make it possible to evaluate the ratio of clarks content of uranium / thorium / potassium components to mountainous regions. The promise of gamma- and neutron-activation experiments on microtron M-30 for evaluation of microelement and isotopic composition of samples is shown. As a result of radioecological monitoring, a database was received on the standards of specific activities of natural and man-made radionuclides for isolated mountain areas. Taking into account the proximity of thermal waters and the developed resort infrastructure of the region, the prospect of radiation mapping for the assessment of the spread of radon / thoron and the organization of protective measures for the population of the Transcarpathian region is demonstrated.
