Aljad R. The Features of European influences in the city planning and residential architecture of Libya in the second Half of the 20th – early 21st century

The dissertation is devoted to revealing the specifics of European influences on urban development and the architecture of residential buildings in the cities of Libya in the 2nd floor. XX - beginning XXI century and outline the directions of their development in modern conditions. The sources on the topic of dissertation, available project materials, existing approaches and methods of studying the architecture and urban development of Libya have been analyzed. The methodical model of research is formulated. The factors influencing the formation of the veranacular and traditional architecture of Libya, the influence of the European architectural and urban tradition in historical retrospect, the problems and tasks of the architectural and spatial development of cities in the 2 nd floor are described. XX - at the beginning XXI century.The features of the translation of approaches of European regional and urban planning, concepts and phases of spatial planning are considered, European influences on the formation of the environment of new cities are analyzed. The periods of forming of housing policy in Libya, typology and architectural planning properties of residential buildings are analyzed. Problems are defined and the principles of housing design at the present stage are formulated
