Essay

The object of research is the process of professional training of future teachers of natural and mathematical specialties in pedagogical institutions of higher education. The purpose of the research is theoretical justification and experimental verification of pedagogical conditions, usage of educational models in the process of professional training of future teachers of natural and mathematical specialties. The scientific novelty and theoretical significance of the obtained results of the research is that: the pedagogical conditions usage of educational models in the process of professional training of future teachers of natural and mathematical specialties are theoretically justificated and experimentally verified: interdependent usage of structural and functional models generating one another and organically interconnected; the usage of evolutionary chains of models that reflect the development of scientific images; the usage of analogue models that reproduce the unity of nature; defined and theoretically justificated the functions of models in the process of training teachers of natural and mathematical specialties, accomplished their classification according to the leading direction (ensuring the availability of study objects in the educational process, promoting the awareness of educational material, optimizing the organization of educational process, support for student research activities); a criterion-diagnostic system for evaluating the depth, systemic, and flexibility of natural and mathematical knowledge of future teachers of the following specialties was specified.
