Kharkivskiy V. Development of legal competence of medical specialists in postgraduate education

The thesis is devoted to the problem of developing legal competency of specialists in the medical field in the postgraduate education. Having analyzed scientific and pedagogical, medical, methodological, legal and special literature we have found out the problems of the development of medical specialists’ legal competence in the postgraduate education. There have been defined the main notions of the research «legal competency of specialists in the medical field» and «developing legal competency of specialists in the medical field in the postgraduate education»; the structure of the legal competency of specialists in the medical field in the postgraduate education has been specified; criteria apparatus of the research has been defined. There has been theoretically grounded the structural and functional model for developing legal competency of specialists in the medical field in the postgraduate education, which consists of methodological target-oriented, technological and communicative, diagnostic and resultant units. According to the results of the forming stage of the experiment the efficiency of developing legal competency of specialists in the medical field in the postgraduate education has been evaluated – the respondents of the experimental group demonstrated increased results of all the criteria and indicators.
