Nesterenko V. Influence of medical and social factors on the formation of the health of academically capable children of middle school age.

The dissertation is devoted to the solution of the actual problem - improvement of the system of prevention of non-infectious diseases and school maladaptation of academically able students of middle school age in the conditions of meritocratic education in the process of adaptation to the main school. The medical and social characteristic of educational activity of the academically skilled pupils of the basic school is given. The dynamics of physical development and the state of health of academically able students during the adaptation to the basic school are researched. The gender features of the school adaptation of academically able children at the transition from primary to primary school are revealed. The influence of medical and social factors of the school environment on students' health condition in the process of their adaptation to the basic school is determined. Recommendations on primary prevention of non-infectious diseases and improvement of mental working capacity of academically capable children in adaptation to the basic school in the conditions of meritocratic education are developed.
