Object of research: state regulation of international cooperation of higher educational establishments. Purpose: substantiation of the theoretical foundations and development of practical recommendations for improving the state regulation mechanisms of international activities of higher education institutions. Methods: systems approach, a hypothetical-deductive method, structural and functional analysis, statistical, prognostic, theoretical and conceptual. Results: substantiated the theoretical foundations and scientific and applied recommendations for improving the mechanisms of state regulation of the international activities of higher education institutions. Novelty: comprehensive analysis of state regulation mechanisms by the realization of the international activities of higher education institutions and devised strategic approaches for the formation of the target interaction of producers and consumers of international educational services; the institutional mechanism of state regulation of the international activities of higher education institution in the context of Ukraine's integration into the European educational space through the systemic and activity approaches has been improved; improved organizational and legal mechanism for the effective functioning of the model of international activities of institutions of higher education in the context of Ukraine's integration into the European educational space; The theoretical foundations of the scientific generalization of foreign experience in the internationalization of the higher education system were developed, and the assessment of the institutional mechanism of state regulation of the development of the world market for educational services in the context of globalization.
