In the dissertation the problem of formation of methodical competence of future music teachers in choral conducting classes is considered. The content, structure and features of the formation of methodological competence are disclosed. Psychological-pedagogical problems and methodological difficulties encountered by students in choral conducting classes and during work with the choir are revealed. Practical ways of solving these problems are proposed. The criteria (cognitive, axiological-analytical, personality-communicative, creative-operational) and levels (low, medium, high) of forming the methodical competence of future music teachers in classes on choral conducting are defined. The conducted experimental research confirmed the effectiveness of the proposed methodology of forming the methodological competence of future music teachers in choral conducting classes and its expediency of introducing higher musical and pedagogical educational institutions into the educational process.
