Essay

The thesis is a theoretical and experimental study of the problem of professional training of future geologists at the Bachelor level with the use of situational modeling. Basing on the conducted scientific research, the thesis reveals the main disadvantages of the training of future geologists at the present stage; the thesis gives the definition of situational modeling and discovers its didactic potential in the training of future geologists. Criteria and indicators of quality of future geologists' professional training at the Bachelor level are specified. The methodology of situational modeling in the future geologists' training has been theoretically substantiated and experimentally verified. The pedagogical conditions of its implementation in the educational process are designated. The results of the pedagogical experiment proved the effectiveness of the developed methodology and they proved the generally positive impact of situational modeling methodology on the quality of future geologists' training.
