Essay

According the clinical and neurological examination of 165 patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) and 38 patients with clinically isolated syndrome were showed the features of cognitive disorders, fatigue and depression. According the cognitive evoked potential P300 were showed neurophysiological features of cognitive impairment in patients with MS. Depending on the presence of foci, radiological characteristics of demyelinating and degenerative changes in the brain, a prognostic assessment of the development of cognitive impairment, fatigue and depression was conducted. The effectiveness of amantadine sulfate in the treatment of fatigue and cognitive impairment in patients with MS has been proven. The effectiveness of the treatment of cognitive disorders with citicoline in patients with MS has been demonstrated.
