Object - civil society in the context of democratization of the modern political process; the goal is to identify and substantiate the essence and peculiarities of decentralization as determinants of democratization in the context of the development of civil society; methods - systemic, computational; Novelty - this work is a holistic, systematic study of the theoretical and political-legal principles of decentralization in Ukraine as determinants of democratization in the context of the development of civil society; the results of the research can be used in the process of political regulation of relations between the state and civil society; in the educational process in the teaching of basic disciplines and special courses in political science, public administration, local self-government, the foundations of democracy.
