Essay

The thesis is devoted to solving the scientific problem concerning the elucidation of mechanisms of development of adrenalin-calcium heart damage in male rats and the effectiveness of quercetin in the correction of detected disorders. Under the influence of elevated doses of adrenaline and calcium, a cascade of functional neuroregulatory and metabolic processes in the myocardium is started. Changes in regulation cause violations of bioelectric phenomena in the heart, the development of hypoxia and ischemia. Increases oxidative modification of proteins, peroxidation of lipids, levels of nitrite anion and circulating immune complexes. The activity of the antioxidant system increases, but the predominance of peroxidation processes over antioxidants indicates oxidative stress and its important role in the pathogenesis of a cardiomyopathy. A significant pathogenetic factor is the development of inflammation. The resulting changes are accompanied by changes in the morphological structure of the myocardium. Quercetin improves regulatory processes, electrophysiological properties of the heart, causes membrane stabilizing and corrective effects on lipoperoxidation, oxidative modification of proteins, nitrite anion, antioxidant activity, and modulatory effect on anti-inflammatory cytokines. It significantly reduces microcirculation disorders, development of necrotic process, lymphohistiocytic infiltration, inflammatory process, degree of contracture changes, sclerosis.7452
