The dissertation deals with scientific substantiation of approaches to the development of a regional program of social and hygienic monitoring of drinking tap water. Research based on the hygienic assessment of the influence of organochlorine compounds contained in plumbing chlorinated drinking water on the level of general and environmentally determined oncological morbidity among urban population of the industrial region. During research, the best monitoring systems for water supply in the developed countries was analyzed. On the basis of scientific analysis was determined components of the regional social and hygienic monitoring system. There are quantitative and qualitative components, the required multiplicity of studies, the order of evaluation of the results, algorithm of interaction of subjects of monitoring.
