The thesis presents the results of a theoretical and experimental research on the problem of modeling and practical support of the system of pedagogical rehabilitation of pupils with special educational needs in an educational and rehabilitation center. Through the analysis of academic publications the essential characteristics of the modern interpretation of the concept of pedagogical rehabilitation of pupils in educational and rehabilitation centers are defined such as its early beginning, competence orientation, continuity and contiguity, acmeological character and implementation in combination with other types of rehabilitation. It is determined that the peculiarity of the modern stage of the development of pedagogical rehabilitation practice is the formation of the holistic methodology and theory of its system organization, which in the synthesized form reflects the tried and tested examples of work with pupils of this category. Taking into account the results of the theoretical research, the author establishes diagnostic criteria (the formation of motivational, cognitive, competence and reflexive components of pedagogical rehabilitation) and indicators of the efficiency of pedagogical rehabilitation of pupils with special educational needs, according to which the bank of necessary diagnostic techniques has been developed. The content of the main stages of pedagogical modeling was defined, the principles according to which the pedagogical modeling process is carried out were revealed, the features of pedagogical system modeling were outlined. The model of the system of pedagogical rehabilitation of pupils with special educational needs is developed and scientifically substantiated. The process and results of testing the effectiveness of the developed model were revealed through the pedagogical experiment, which included three consecutive stages: the observation, formation and verification. At the observation stage of the experiment the diagnostics of the state of pedagogical rehabilitation of pupils with special educational needs was carried out according to the determined criteria and indicators. According to the findings of mathematical and statistical analysis, positive results of experimental test of the system of pedagogical rehabilitation of students with special educational needs in conditions of educational and rehabilitation centre have been confirmed.
