Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the determination of the patterns of violations of oxidant, antioxidant and immune processes in the blood, lungs and tissues of periodontal disease in experimental pneumonia and periodontitis separately and in the conditions of their combination before and after application of quercetin. It has been established that under the conditions of development (6th, 10th and 20th days) of experimental pneumonia and periodontitis there is a gradual hyperactivation of free radical oxidation processes and stimulation of humoral immunity and phagocytic activity of leukocytes against the suppression of superoxide dismutase, catalase activity, level of T lymphocytes in the blood, lungs, and periodontal tissues, which were most pronounced on the 20th day of the anti-control experiment. The antioxidant and immunoregulating effects of quercetin on the metabolic and immune processes in the conditions of combined pathology - experimental pneumonia and periodontitis have been proved.
