Essay

The thesis is devoted to research of psychological conditions of creative imagination development for senior preschool children. The theoretical approaches to the study of the problem, the essence notion of "creative imagination of children of the senior preschool age". It is investigated empirically: the features of the manifestation and the corresponding criteria development of older preschoolers' creative imagination (the originality of the images, the flexibility of the images, the speed of the created images, the productivity of the images), their development levels (low, medium, high), psychological conditions of development (development of cognitive processes (accuracy of memory, independence of the reasoning, generalization ability, establishment of the cause-effect relationships) and attention (productivity and stability of attention), the speech development (sufficient vocabulary, figurative usage of the artistic means of speech, non-standard expressions, images specification), the internal creativity motivation of a senior preschooler (the presence of cognitive interest, the emotional orientation of the creative process), the inner plan of actions)). The model was substantiated and the program of creative imagination development of senior preschool children was developed and tested by means of actualization of its psychological development conditions. The efficiency of the author's program for the development of creative imagination of senior preschool children has been experimentally confirmed and published psychological and pedagogical recommendations and a methodological manual for educators, psychologists and parents, regarding the development of creative imagination of the senior preschool age children, have been formulated.
