In the dissertation, the complex of preventive measures aimed at the improvement of working conditions and environmental protection during the use of medicinal substance diazoline in the production of first generation antihistamine drugs has been developed and scientifically substantiated on the basis of the generalization of the results of the toxicological, hygienic, biochemical, histological and immunological researches. The degree of toxicity and the nature of the biological action during oral, inhalation and percutaneous routes of substance entry into the organism of laboratory animals under conditions of acute and subacute experiments have been established. The resorptive-toxic and local-irritating effect was studied when applied to the skin and mucous membranes, cumulative properties. The long-term effects of exposure and immunosensitizing effect were studied. On the basis of the conducted studies, the hygienic regulation of permissible diazoline content in atmospheric air, working area air in industrial premises and open water was substantiated and a complex of sanitary and hygienic and medical preventive measures aimed at improving working conditions and preserving the health of workers in contact with the drug was developed.
