The program of the dissertation research was aimed at substantiation of measures for primary prevention of mental disorders of adolescents with visual impairments who study in specialized educational institutions, on the basis of hygienic prenosological psychodiagnostics and correction of marginal mental states. The thesis which included the scientific substantiation of psycho-hygienic measures in the primary prevention of mental disorders of adolescents with pathology of the organ of vision, who study in specialized educational institutions, on the basis of hygienic prenosological psychodiagnostics and correction of limiting mental states, gave a determined cause-effect relationship between the conditions of life ( including sanogenic and pathogenic factors) and the functional state, mental state and the state of mental and general health of this contingent of high school senior pupils. A significant scientific problem is solved - the regularities of the formation of the functional state and the state of health of senior pupils who are studying in specialized educational institutions. The psycho-hygienic estimation of the development of cognitive functions, individual personality characteristics, psycho-emotional state that determines the degree of general and psychological stability of visually impaired persons, which must be taken into account during developing psychodiagnostic and preventive measures for the primary prevention of health disorders were presented. The psychohygienic and psycho-physiological criteria of hygienic diagnostics and methods of sanogenic correction of pre-nosological conditions in senior pupils studying in specialized educational institutions developed. Psychohygienic measures aimed at preventing mental disorders of students with organ of vision pathology include: 1) the pedagogical process should be based on the capabilities of children with visual impairment; 2) it is necessary to follow of special pedagogical and hygienic requirements (rational allocation of classes, provision of the appropriate level of lighting, the use of corrective and typhlotechnical means); 3) the educational process should be aimed at correcting abnormalities in the development of the cognitive, personal, motor sphere, as well as in the formation of spatial representations and adaptation to the environment.
