The dissertation is dtvoted to the discussion topic of the myth phenomenon in the context of modern mass culture. The work shows that the myth from a rational and critical point of view is an expression of supreme interest, which models reality, serving as a basis for adaptation to natural, technological and socialenvironment. At the same time, for a subject of myth, it is the obvious truth, the very realiti determining the stability of myth in culture.
