The thesis is devoted to the study of judicial practice as an element of the legal system of Ukraine. The paper analyzes and elaborates the general characteristics of judicial practice, on the basis of which its place and role in the general model of the legal system and in specific national legal systems of different types are clarified. The process of studying and summarizing judicial practice has been improved. The necessity of extended application of the cybernetic method in combination with the method of legal comparative studies during the research of the efficiency of the judicial system of Ukraine, as well as during its reform has been justified
