Essay

The object is a modern migration process; the purpose is to outline the positive and negative consequences of the migration processes of the present and to determine the conditions for overcoming the destructive phenomena at national and regional levels; methods - systemic, structural-functional, institutional; novelty - given the author's definition of the term "migration conflict", which is understood as a component of the migration process and occurs within one state, but between representatives of different ethnic groups against the background of conflicting socio-political interests and views of the host population and migrant groups, whose actions are aimed at achievement of incompatible or mutually exclusive goals; results - separate provisions and recommendations of the study can be used in the practical activity of state authorities of Ukraine and political parties; in the educational process in the development of courses in Comparative Politics, Political Process, Ukraine in Eurospace, European Integration Theory.
