Essay

The purpose of the work - is to provide a theoretical grounding and empirical examination of age particularities of combatants adaptation and the possibilities of their post-war reintegration into society. The results of the study are based on data from a 320 combatants (of which 20-30 years old - 99 persons (30.9%), 31-45 years old - 134 persons (41.8%), 46-60 years old - 87 persons (27.3%), middle age of the studied combatants are 40.5 years old. It is postulated that adaptation is a multidimensional process of individual's psyche and behavior active adaptation to the conditions of the social environment, mediated by the leading activity of the individual at this stage of its development. In the course of the study, the following indicators of adaptation were produced: coping, hardiness, psychological well-being, resilience and posttraumatic growth. The stages of combatants adaptation to the military activity are outlined: the preparatory (home-building), the stage of primary adaptation (mobilization), the stage of secondary adaptation (mobilization with participation in military operations), the stage of rehabilitation (postmobilization), each of which is actualized biological, psychological, social and extreme factors of social adaptation and its correlates. Based on the results obtained, the system of combatants psychological rehabilitation was developed and justified. A model of social support for combatants, based on consistent post-traumatic periods, was developed.
