Essay

The work is a theoretical and experimental study of the problem formation of communicative competence of future teachers of the Ukrainian language and literature in the process of studying of phonetics and orthoepy. The work has been clarified the content of the key concepts “competence”, “competence approach”, “communicative competence”, “professional communicative competence”; the content of the concept "communicative competence of the Ukrainian language and literature in the process of studying phonetics and orthoepy" is specified, which in the dissertation is perceived as an integrative quality of the person possessing a developed critical thinking, emotional intelligence, internal and external speech, an appropriate level of motivation to study; confesses and adheres to moral values; capable of correcting emotional and behavioral components; consciously relates to the mastering of theoretical material on phonetics and orthoepy as the foundation in the assimilation of modern Ukrainian language; has formed linguistic, speech and communication skills and abilities. The criteria and indicators of the formation of communicative competence of future teachers of the Ukrainian language and literature in the course of studying phonetics and orthoepy are determined. The research developed a methodology the formation of communicative competence of future teachers of the Ukrainian language and literature in the process of studying phonetics and orthoepy; forms, methods, means, technologies of formation of communicative competence in future teachers of the Ukrainian language and literature are represented, and experimentally confirmed it efficiency. In the process of psychological and pedagogical literature analysis and synthesis it is stated, that taking into consideration students’ individual and age peculiarities in educational process at higher school, realizing of mental processes running involved into their educational and cognitive activity promote communicative competence formation of future Ukrainian language and literature teachers in the process of phonetics and orthoepy studying. The model of communicative competence formation with the corresponding stages (theoretical-informative, professional-active, analytical-corrective), directions and technological conditions and experimental methodology based on European integration tendencies, general didactic and lingual methodical principles, purposeful use of traditional and innovative methods and techniques of training and a specially-composed system of exercises and tasks based on texts that takes into account integrative and holistic nature of communicative competence has been developed and tested. Key words: competence approach, communicative competence, professional communicative competence, the methodology of forming the communicative competence of future teachers of the Ukrainian language and literature.
