Mynenko L. Development of banking supervision on a consolidated basis in Ukraine

The thesis paper is aimed at development of theoretical framework as well as research and methodological approaches of banking supervision on a consolidated basis in Ukraine. The thesis paper has enhanced the representation of meaning of banking consolidated supervision and has outlined five levels of its performance. The research and methodological approach to assessment of risk level of banking groups has been developed. The said approach is based on consecutive applying of four interconnected procedures: identification of undetected groups; establishing types of business models of banking groups; analysis of the ration “risk-stability”; providing substantiation of expediency of implementation of enhanced supervisory regime. The critical analysis of the mechanism of identification and recognition of the banking groups and monitoring of their activity has been performed; also, assessment of efficiency of functioning of banking groups has been conducted. The complex of measures for development of economical and legal, informative and procedural and institutional ensuring of consolidated supervision in Ukraine has been developed.
