Nazaruk N. Formation of the Ombudsman Institute in the modern political process of Ukraine in the context of foreign experience.

The paper proves that, by its political nature, the ombudsman institution is a fairly flexible instrument for the protection of the rights of a person and citizen, the pace of development of which depends on the degree of democratic development of the country. The chronology of the main stages of the formation and development of the Ombudsman’s institution in Ukraine is proposed. The concept of the development of the Ombudsman’s institution in Ukraine has been improved, taking into account the factors of the political regime, form of government, administrative-territorial structure, type of political culture of the population, and the like. The paper proved the geopolitical aspect in the process of development of the Ombudsman’s institution. The classification of ombudsmen, proposals for the harmonization of the regulatory framework for the political and legal status of the ombudsman in Ukraine have been further developed.
