Essay

The thesis's objectives are to devise methods of advanced diagnosis and improved treatment for unstable angina (UA) of female smokers. This can be achieved through researching on its clinical course, lipid and carbohydrate metabolism, inflammation markers and endothelial dysfunction, coronary angiography and their relationship. As a part of the research, it was analysed the state of lipid, carbohydrate metabolism, and the level of malondialdehyde, ceruloplasmin as well as the density of C-reactive protein, endothelin-1 and NO-synthase and the transforming growth factor. It was researched the characteristics of the UA course and its complications, analysed the coronary angiography results, determined a relative risk of anemia development with its potential complications, caused by either separate factors or their combination in female smokers and non-smokers. It has been considered implementation of quercetin in the amount that correlates to the level of tabaco consumption as a component to the UA treatment for females.
