Melnyk D. Duodenal ulcer disease in schoolchildren: medical and epidemiological features.

The dissertation substantiates the early detection and improvement of the systemic measures of prophylactic medicine of duodenal ulcer disease in schoolchildren at the level of primary care. During the analysis of literary sources, an increase in the prevalence of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract among school-age children was revealed. In the dissertation work, the indicators of the morbidity of duodenal ulcer disease and the prevalence of this disease among children in the regions of Ukraine are analyzed, and a retrospective (1966, 2016) study of duodenal ulcer in children of school age in the Kyiv region and in Kyiv. In Kyiv outpatient card for children with duodenal ulcer disease (form No. 026/o) was selected as the information base of the study: 220 rural and 225 urban children (425), as well as cards of patients who left the hospital (form No. 066 / o): 220 rural and 225 city children – together 445. According to the study program, 445 children and their parents were interviewed with a specially designed questionnaire, among which 225 (50,56 ± 2,37 %) of urban and 220 (49,44 ± 2,37 %) of rural residents. The above-mentioned features of children with duodenal ulcer disease and the effect of the disease on the quality of life of school-age children are investigated and analyzed.
