Gulchuk T. Formation of the future navigators’ text-creating competence in the process of learning the Ukrainian language

The dissertation is devoted to the problem related to the formation of the future navigators’ text-creating competence in the process of learning the Ukrainian language. The essence of the concepts “text”, “text-creating”, “text-creation activity” is clarified in the work. The text-creating competence is characterised as an integrated ability of the individual, which is the result of gaining knowledge about the text in the aspect of professional communication, mastering the skills and abilities of text-perception and text-creating, gaining experience in interpersonal and intercultural communication. The textual activity of the future navigators covered the following components: pre-text, during which the modelling of the text takes place according to the type, style and genre, taking into account the situation of communication; solely textual, which involves the text production; reflexive – rethinking of own views, thoughts, positions or statements expressed in the text in accordance with the listeners’ reaction or self-evaluation, the formation of a personal attitude to the text; the cadets’ acquisition of experience in the text-creating activities will be possible thanks to the use of the teaching information and communication technologies, interactive methods and the project method which makes it possible to optimize the educational process.
