Bespal O. Criminological characteristics and prevention of crimes against the life and health of children committed in families

Thesis is devoted to the comprehensive criminological study of crimes against life and health of children committed in the family. Thesis studies a state of scientific research of the problem of violence in families against the life and health of children; the history of development of national legislation with respect to liability for crimes against the life and health of children; foreign legislation has been analyzed with respect to life and health protection of children against crimes committed in families, possibilities of introduction of foreign experience in Ukraine has been identified. Criminological analysis of the crimes life and health of children in families has been done; criminological characteristic of the persons, who committed crimes against life and health of children in their families has been done; as well as victimological characteristic of children, who suffered from crimes against their life and health committed in the families. Main determinants, which contribute to crimes against life and health of children in families have been identified. A system of general social, special criminological and individual measures for prevention of crimes against life and health of children in families have been proposed.
