Essay

The history of the ideological and theoretical basis of the principle of separation of powers in Poland from their origin until today should be considered as the evolution of the basic postulates that formed the ideological and theoretical principles of exercising power and the principle of the separation of powers in a specific period. It is characterized by: a) the evolution of determining the sovereign of power in the direction of: god-king – king-state – state-people – the people; b) the evolution from the functional unity of power to its functional separation; c) the evolution from the prevalence of the organizing principle of separation of powers to the primacy of the principle of the functional separation.
